We are now looking for a VP, Strategy to join our Strategy & Sustainability function.

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of company-wide strategies, identify growth opportunities and work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment across all business units. This is a new position that can be based at our headquarters in Helsinki or near any of our main locations across Europe.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the long-term strategic plan for the Kemira group and the New Ventures unit, including vision, mission, and key objectives
Strategy Execution: Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives that align with the company’s goals and market opportunities
Performance Monitoring: Set measurable goals and track the performance of strategic initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team
Startup Engagement: Lead the process of evaluating potential startup engagements including venture capital investments
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads (Finance, Operations, etc.) to ensure strategic initiatives are understood and executed across the organization

What you’ll bring to the team:

Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering, or related field
Extensive experience in management consulting and corporate strategy/business development with a proven track record in a senior leadership role. Industry experience in Chemicals, Energy, Water, or Pulp & Paper is a plus.
Proven ability to lead business transformation and growth initiatives.
Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of business operations.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and collaborate with executives and key stakeholders.
A forward-thinking approach, leveraging data, industry trends, and innovative ideas to shape the future of our company.
A results-driven mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
