Kemira’s Oil & Gas group provides a unique combination of innovative chemicals and application knowledge that improves process efficiency and yield in multiple applications.  We are seeking a driven Account Manager, who will be located in our Houston, Texas office.  In this role, you will have the flexibility to organize your work between office and remote, in a hybrid work culture.


The position responsibilities include:

  • Directing the sales process to meeting and exceeding sales and profitability margin targets
  • Developing profitable business within designated accounts(s)
  • Expanding profits, market position and market share
  • Introducing new products and solutions to clients
  • Organizing reports, sales calls and business reviews
  • Preparing short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets
  • Supporting the development of demand forecast in assigned area
  • Retaining long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business
  • Managing trade receivables and delivery/invoicing claims

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent field experience in chemistry, chemistry engineering or industry related field
  • 5+ years experience in specialty chemical sales, services and/or operation in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Willingness & ability to travel 
  • Able to drive for results
  • Excellent business communication skills-both verbal and written with English
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to embrace change
  • Excellent negotiation skills
