Chemical Plant Operator

We are looking for an experienced Chemical Plant Operator- night shift for our Marietta Plant.

This position has the primary responsibilities of manufacturing liquid polymers, including:

• Charging, feeding, monitoring and controlling blend and reaction vessels according to written procedures during the manufacture of finished products
• Operated a Distributed Control System and all reactor support equipment
• Handling of various chemicals used in the manufacturing of products
• Material transport via forklift
• Housekeeping and reporting of safety hazards
• Other reasonable duties as assigned under proper supervision

What you need: 

• Experience in chemical plant / heavy production or equivalent prior experience.
• Track record complying with Quality, HSE, & Process Safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to execute Emergency Response procedures applicable to the position.
• Good math skills & ability to work with computers.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work all shifts – expect to work night shift following training period.
• Respirator use, frequent motor vehicle operation, and use of manual dexterity.
• Moderate standing, walking, exposure to dusts, fumes or chemical irritants, and exposure to respiratory irritants or sensitizers.
• Ability to work 13-hour shifts in hot/cold environments.
• Sitting, squatting, bending, working around moving machinery, working on ladders, and working in contained areas.
• Must Frequently Lift 55 Pounds.
