Title:  Engineering Mananger

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Summary: To manage the technical services efficiently form the point of view of resource use, personnel, facilities and costs. Being responsible to optimize production by designing and operating a suitable engineering maintenance program. To uphold the overall requirements of EHS, security, and IPR protection.

Strategy and concept:

  1. Develop and establish a maintenance strategy to best utilize current capacity
  2. Strive for best suited means of predictive and preventive maintenance
  3. Establish a technical standard and co-ordinate on site to minimize cost (current assets)
  4. Spare parts management concept (supplier, consignment stock, Kemira stock)
  5. Support the development of the Kemira Nanjing Site Master Plan

Execution:

  1. Maintain production facilities at an adequate level to ensure desired availability at lowest cost
  2. Minimize lost production time through improved maintenance engineering
  3. Ensure desired intervention time with internal/external resources
  4. Balance internal resources and external resources in the most cost effective way
  5. Work with production line manager to ensure maintenance priorities are agreed
  6. Implement small capital investment projects
  7. Maintain technical standard in investment projects and ensure that maintenance requirements are met
  8. De-bottleneck processes with production to increase capacity where needed
  9. Technical warehouse management. To set up reasonable spare part inventory
  10. Provide complete and updated plant documentation including PID to also fulfill all requirements with respect to ISO9001, ISO14001 and 1SO45001

Control and Reporting:

  1. Accountable for the budget of the plant engineering/maintenance.
  2. Monitors, controls and reports on maintenance efficiency levels. Analyze units with highest maintenance spent (bad actors) and improves/optimize equipment
  3. Executes reliability analysis and root cause analysis
  4. To identify, report and initiate action to prevent non-conformance or problems to product, process and Quality System and verify the implementation of solutions
  5. Executes spare parts analysis and manages availability

Human Resources:

  1. Selects and recommends for employment or advancement of suitable subordinates in co-operation with Human Resources
  2. Evaluates and documents the performance of subordinates
  3. Provides support, coaching, training and development for subordinates
  4. Proposes training and schooling of subordinates. Arranges that employees are adequately trained and well-motivated

EHS / Regulatory / IPR:

  1. Take corrective actions to combat unsafe practices or conditions whenever they arise and, as far as possible, to anticipate and prevent hazards before they arise
  2. Ensure EHS compliance in maintenance and capital projects
  3. To ensure all equipment purchased and all work executed meet the appropriate regulations
  4. Ensure the protection of confidential and secret company information, regulations and guidelines from the company
  5. Be responsible for the inspection licenses of pressure vessels, safety valves, pressure piping and other special equipment, etc.
