We are looking for a Process Engineer, to join our I&W Manufacturing team at the Mobile, AL Monomer / Polymer Manufacturing site. 


The Process Engineer provides support of process safety, environmental regulatory reporting & compliance, and is an integral part of the site Energy Management System.  Working closely with Operations and Maintenance, this role supports the optimization of plant processes. The role provides process engineering support including process design, project management, improvement and troubleshooting.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Support and advance the site safety culture
  • Support environmental regulatory reporting & compliance
  • Lead efforts for the site Energy Management System
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for process units
  • Participate in all aspects of the site Process Safety program [MOC, PHA, PSSR] and ensure compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with creation of SOPs for new and existing equipment and processes as needed
  • Support continuous improvement of plant processes

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Preferably 0-3 years’ process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-managing
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications
