We are now looking for an Sr. Account Manager, Industry NA to join our Water Solutions business unit. This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with a proven record of growing industrial chemical sales, managing high-value customer portfolios, and building long-term customer relationships that support sustainable business growth.
Water Solutions offers a wide range of innovative solutions to optimize all stages of the water treatment process while safely achieving water quality targets and meeting constantly tightening regulations. The business serves both municipal and industrial customers globally, with strong growth ambitions in the North American industrial market.
This position can be remote, but proximity to a major airport is a plus.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving profitable growth across assigned industrial accounts, including identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
- Managing and expanding a significant sales portfolio, with preferred experience supporting approximately $25 million or more in annual sales revenue.
- Building strong direct customer relationships while also managing and developing indirect sales channels, including distributors and resellers.
- Demonstrating a strong hunting mindset to pursue new opportunities, while also farming and protecting existing business through long-term customer partnerships.
- Providing technical and commercial support to customers by understanding their needs and positioning Kemira’s industrial water treatment and chemical solutions effectively.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including R&D, product management, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity.
- Preparing and delivering compelling presentations, proposals, and business reviews to customers and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Proven success growing sales in industrial chemicals, water treatment, or a closely related technical B2B environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and expand existing accounts through both direct sales and indirect channel strategies.
- Experience managing complex, high-value customer relationships and delivering measurable revenue growth.
- Strong commercial discipline, negotiation skills, and ability to convert customer needs into value-based solutions.
- Technical curiosity and credibility with the ability to partner with customers on industrial process, water treatment, or chemical application challenges.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.
- A growth-oriented mindset aligned with Kemira Principles: Focus on Growth, Deliver Value, and Collaborate to Succeed.
- A technical background in coagulants, flocculants, defoamers and dispersants would be a plus.

- The starting base salary range for this role is between $120,000 to $140,000 per year. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions. The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
