We are now looking for a Director, Finance & Accounting, APAC to lead and manage the accounting, reporting, credit, manufacturing controlling, treasury and tax compliance activities as well as statutory financial reporting in the APAC region. The position is based in Shanghai, China and part of Global Finance & Accounting organization.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

We offer an interesting region level position where your role is to be responsible for finance and accounting activities for APAC region including regional headquarter entity in China and subsidiaries in 10 countries. You lead finance team professionals currently having 8 direct and more than 20 indirect reports in the organization. The main responsibilities are:

 

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of monthly reporting and annual financial statements
  • Manage GL Accounting in line with IFRS and local GAAPs
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Manage Credit limits and collection
  • Manage tax compliance
  • Participate in relevant global tax related matters like transfer pricing and tax planning
  • Act as a counterparty to the banks and manage treasury transactions including cash flow, net working capital, loans and financial needs for subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and internal controls
  • Coordinate external audits for region and legal entities
  • Co-operate with relevant external and internal counterparties, like tax authorities
  • Further develop, automate and standardize accounting and reporting practices
  • Act as a member of APAC region management team

  

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor´s degree in finance required, Masters´ degree is preferred
  • Minimum 15 year´s progressive and broad accounting experience
  • Experience of leading international team
  • Earlier experience working in China seen as a strong preference
  • Fluent spoken and written English is necessary, Chinese language skills is seen as advantage
  • Knowledge on IFRS, knowledge of relevant local legislation is preferred
  • Knowledge in product costing, transfer pricing and management reporting processes
  • Experience working widely with SAP seen as a strong benefit
  • Pro-active attitude with result-oriented mindset
  • Excellent leadership skills with good decision-making and influencing skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully gross functions/segments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel
