Title:  Principal Research Scientist

We are now looking for a Principle Research Scientist for our Shanghai R&D Center. You will work with teammate for new product development (polymer and sizing). You will together with global R&D and APAC manufacture teams to scale up and commercialize new products to support business needs.

Kemira R&D and Technology is a critical enabler within Kemira, securing organic growth and further differentiation in the market through co-creation and innovation with our customers.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• management experience as team manager or multiple project manager role in the past.  
• Develop new polymer products or new catalysts for organic reaction
• Generate new ideas to broaden Kemira products portfolio
• Complete lab experiment independently and efficiently
• Collaborate with Global R&D sister team scientists on new products development
• Support APAC manufacturing sites process upgrades

What you’ll bring to the team:  

• PhD/MSc degree in  organic chemistry & polymer chemistry from an accredited college/university
• Over 5 years of experience in chemical industrial
• Rich knowledge in molecular design
• Strong hands on synthesis experimental skill in laboratory.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of wet chemistry analysis or instrument analysis
• Able to effectively communicate scientific results both orally and in written reports demonstrated by external publications.
• Is capable of working well in a team environment.
• Fluent in both oral and written English
