Location Details: 

Title:  Senior Manager, Sourcing Indirect APAC

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Sourcing Indirect APAC to join our Sourcing Team and lead Indirect spend categories within the region.

 

This position is preferably located in Shanghai, China.  

 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing innovative approaches to sourcing activities that support manufacturing organizations in optimizing their operations and investment expenses.
  • Leading and developing a cross-cultural and multi-national  team of sourcing professionals.
  • Developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies for OpEx and CapEx spending at a local and regional level.
  • Providing expertise and guidance on how to best manage relevant spending categories in close cooperation with the manufacturing and engineering community.
  • Together with your team, engaging suppliers in delivering daily operational excellence and continuous improvements. 
  • Support Internal Audit team in ensuring compliance at all time 
 
 What you will bring to the team:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other relevant degree 
  • 5 + years experience in commercial roles, preferably with sourcing experience in MRO, Site Services and CapEx categories for multi-national companies
  • Results-driven and analytical with the ability to logically identify alternative solutions or approaches to complex challenges
  • Strong supplier and internal stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in leading and developing cross-cultural team
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability
  • Ability to take responsibility for leading, directing and managing changes
  • Experience with negotiating complex legal and commercial agreements terms and conditions
  • Strong understanding of MS Office, SAP and eSourcing tools
  • Fluent in written and spoken English 
  • Readiness to travel due to regional responsibility and flexibility in working hours due to cross-regional interaction
