We are now looking for a Supervisor, Engineering and Maintenance to join our Operations unit.
The Operations unit strengthens Kemira’s operational backbone by optimizing supply chain performance and driving cost efficiency. The unit supports business growth across all segments, enabling business units to focus on delivering their commercial strategies. The Manufacturing organization in the Operations unit ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable production of chemical solutions that meet customer needs across industries. The unit is responsible for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards in Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality. Manufacturing plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and collaboration across global sites.
This position is located on-site in Estella-Lizarre, Navarra, Spain.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Leading and coordinating engineering and maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations

Managing and developing the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Leading or supporting technical projects, hazard analyses, and incident investigations
-
Planning and executing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, including shutdowns, to minimize downtime
-
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, legal, and Kemira EHSQ standards
-
Overseeing spare parts, site stores, and contractor services for availability and cost efficiency
-
Maintaining equipment reliability and accurate use of SAP and site monitoring systems
-
Acting as Site Responsible Engineer, ensuring integrity of process equipment and facilities

Supporting production operations and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve plant issues and achieve business targets

Ensuring proper functionality of the DCS process control system and compliance with cybersecurity requirements
What you’ll bring to the team:

Bachelor’s degree or engineering in Mechanical, Robotics, Chemical or other technical disciplines

Experience in engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment

Team leadership and people development skills

Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Collaborative approach, supporting Kemira’s principles: Focus on Growth, Deliver Value, and Collaborate to Succeed

Effective communication skills in a multicultural environment

Fluent Spanish skills; English is an advantage

Residence in Navarra Estella area

The starting base salary range for this role is between EUR 50 000 to EUR 60 000 per year. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions. The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
