We are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer for  KTCW.

 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Implement the comprehensive management policy of the company, implement the target and index of the department, and ensure the realization of the comprehensive management goal of EHSQ.
  • Implement the identification of environmental factors and the identification and evaluation of hazard sources within the region as well as the control of important environmental factors and hazard sources.
  • Responsible for the acquisition, transmission and compliance of relevant laws and other requirements, and timely transmission of external environmental/occupational health and safety information within the corresponding business scope of the department.
  • Ensure all actions in responsible area in compliance with EHSQ rules and policy
  • Work as project leader to prepare project design basis and scope (Front-End-Engineering) including technology selection, flow-sheets (PFD and P&ID), mass and energy balances, equipment dimension design (rotating equipment's, static equipment's, units, etc.), equipment specification, layouts
  • Provide necessary input to prepare cost estimates and project schedules in support of project planning. Cost estimates and project schedules should be analyzed for accuracy, and completeness
  • Execute and control design-engineering phase of projects, including process design calculations, equipment and material selection and detailed design of equipment with drawings for procurement, technical clarifications with other internal disciplines (e.g. CSA, E&I, piping, sourcing) or external contractors
  • Take leader from engineering side in project HAZOP study, provide necessary inputs
  • Take leader to prepare and execute together with sourcing team for project sourcing strategy
  • Manage project in the system for the project application, order requisition, expenditure control and etc.
  • Communicate with experts for the technical issues and report to management in time.
  • Responsible for material take out from warehouse for project. Conduct contractor management to ensure contractors follow construction regulation. Ensure contractors have related certificates.
  • Ensure design is followed during contractor construction. Supervise the quality of construction by organize different professional engineers. Ask contractor conduct the modification if there is unsuitable. Ensure the construction safety.
  • Coordinate the resources to ensure the project complete safely, on time and in budget,.
  • Provide technical support during start-up including "trouble-shooting"
  • Search actively for opportunities to improve project performance during all phases
  • Establish local know-how in the relevant discipline and share with other/new project members/teams from Kemira
  • Response for the project document management and provide project as-built documentation with Kemira standard quality.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by direct supervisor and management team

 

 

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor degree or above in chemical/process or mechanical engineering.
  • Over 5 years working experience in chemical industry or engineering company (engineering for chemical companies/chemical plants).
  • Over 2 years working experience as a project engineer/manager for capital investment projects in chemical industry.
  • Familiar with chemical unit operations, equipment and machinery used in chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, official specifications, regulations and technical instructions.
  • Familiar with the principals and procedures of project engineering practices and project management.
  • Effective communication skills in English (oral and writing) are expected.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP would be helpful.
  • Strong and effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong spirit of teamwork.
  • Willingness to continuously build knowledge and broaden skills.
  • High flexibility, high sense of responsiveness, open mindedness.
  • Good knowledge on Auto CAD and related drawing software.
  • Knowledge of material selection and corrosion.
