We are now looking for a Product Line Specialist to join our EMEA region Product Line Management organization in Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business Unit.
Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit specializes in innovative solutions that enable customers to create fiber-based products suited for a circular economy and replacing plastics, while optimizing resource efficiency, product performance, and quality. The business unit serves paper, board, tissue, and molded fiber packaging manufacturers across the globe.
You will be supporting our product line managers in developing, implementing, and executing a strategic product line roadmap to maximise growth, profitability, competitiveness and long-term value creation. This is an entry level position in our organization with the intention of growing into product line leader in the long term. Your work will include a combination of technical and commercial tasks, such as supporting the portfolio strategy development, analyzing product line performance, preparing status updates and monthly reports, coordinating events and developing our global product line management tools and processes. By collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization, you’ll align efforts and contribute to achieving shared business objectives, making a tangible impact on the company’s success. Preferred location is at our headquarters in Helsinki. Remote work is supported, with some travel expected to facilitate collaboration and support regional team growth. You will report to the Director, Product Line Management.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Product Line coordination: You will manage couple of small product lines, ensure product line performance and build up your competences to take responsibility of bigger product lines in the future.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Build strong partnerships with Sales, Supply, Supply Chain, Product Safety and Business Development teams to drive product line growth and profitability.
- Process Development: You will develop our global product line management processes under the guidance of the leadership team.
- System Development: You will represent our team in Kemira’s system governance teams to improve our tools for more efficient ways of working.
- PLM Support: Support the Product Line organization with monthly performance analysis, reporting development and other operational tasks.
What could you bring to the team:
- Business acumen: a solid grasp of business operations and strategy, understanding the company's objectives, market position, and the economic factors that influence demand.
- Technical Expertise: Understanding of the paper chemicals industry is advantage, but not a must.
- Data analytics: understanding business analytics with proficiency in statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, particularly advanced Excel).
- Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, generate insights, and utilize IT tools to create actionable plans. (e.g. particularly Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint, )
- Communication and Influence: Strong interpersonal skills and high energy to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in cross-functional settings.
- Results Orientation: Proactive, organized, and able to work independently in fast paced situations with a focus on both immediate results and long-term goals. Critical thinking and problem solving mind appreciated.
- Adaptability and Collaboration: Able to work effectively in dynamic environments, balancing attention to detail with big-picture planning and prioritizing tasks to meet changing demands.
- Education: Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process engineering or industrial economics or a related field.
- Experience: You have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, or you are a recent graduate with a growth mindset, a passion for learning, and the drive to take on new challenges.

- If the position would be based in Finland, the starting base salary range for this role is between EUR 3600 to EUR 4400 per month. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions. The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
